You can see giant blankets in many places in the world. But nowhere else has a population of giant blankets that literally seek interaction with divers and divers.

While blankets are the main reason to travel to Socorro, there are many other animals to see, including hammerhead sharks and silky sharks, as well as other species of 10 sharks, bottlenose dolphins that constantly mate with divers at certain dive sites , large schools of pelagic fish and, in season, humpback whales.

Socorro Island

Socorro Island, formerly called Santo Tomás Island, is a volcanic island in the Revillagigedo archipelago, which is located west of the Mexican coast.

The size is 16.5 by 11.5 km, with an area 132 km². Administratively it belongs to the Mexican state of Colima just like the other islands of the archipelago.

Socorro Island is one day sailing south of Cabo San Lucas, which is located at the southern tip of Lower Mexico.

We specialize in the diving of large animals in the cleaning stations of San Benedicto, Socorro and Roca Partida.

The friendliest giant blankets in the world. The behavior exhibited by these giant blankets is almost inexplicable. These gentle giants with a wingspan of up to 20 feet constantly approach divers for intimate face-to-face encounters. If you can be calm and still in the water, you are almost sure to experience what we call "blanket love".
